Larry Davis is the Lead of Green Mechanics Benefit LLC, where he has spearheaded pioneering efforts in stormwater innovation, nutrient credit trading, and sustainable infrastructure design. A CBLP Level 1 certified professional, he has designed and implemented projects under the District of Columbia’s Stormwater Retention Credit (SRC) Program, securing multiple SRC Aggregator Grants while launching the first Internet of Things (IoT) monitoring system for green infrastructure in Washington, D.C. (2021) and expanding this work with Morgan State University to track 19 bioretention systems in Baltimore (2023–present).
His leadership has enabled the retention of over 30,000 gallons of stormwater annually and integrated AI-powered automation through the Mito ecosystem to streamline QA/QC data processes. Larry’s accomplishments include developing a 40-filter installation plan for the Town of Eagle Harbor, facilitating $140,000 in community savings for National Links Trust golf courses, partnering with the Black Yield Institute, authoring stormwater white papers with national experts, and directing stakeholder engagement for a 35 MW agrivoltaics project on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
He has also advanced sustainable solutions internationally through study abroad programs in the Philippines, Africa, the Bahamas, and Brazil. Recognized as a finalist in the University of Maryland Dingman Center Pitch Competition (Alumni Track), a 2nd Place winner in the Maryland Innovation Initiative Entrepreneur-in-Residence Program, and a cohort member in the Halcyon Incubator, Johns Hopkins Social Innovation Lab, and Bethesda Green, Larry has established himself as a leader at the intersection of ecological engineering, innovation, and community impact.
